The link below contains an electronic Joining Instruction.
This form is for those that indicated they would help. Please look to when you are rostered and fill in all the information required. If you did not put your name down but now wish to do so, please fill it out and you will be added to the roster.
We have some exciting plans for the rest of term and into Term 2.
Aviation studies have begun for the entire unit (new cadets included!). Cadets will learn the theory of flight and aviation, with the more advanced cadets learning how to navigate and plot flight paths. This will culminate for everyone in flights with Under Officer Leslie who is trainee pilot. It will be the ultimate application of the theory lessons we do at the unit.
So make the most of this opportunity to really appreciate the flying!
Starting the 8th November the SQN will be holding Open nights for all those interested in joining Air Cadets. Visit our Facebook events to register for the open day and our recruit training program. https://www.facebook.com/18sqn/events/
It's snowing at Porters right now! It should make for some fantastic conditions. Make sure you check our Facebook page or website for any cancellation notices. https://www.facebook.com/18sqn/?fref=ts
The ski report can be found on Porters website http://www.skiporters.co.nz/snow-report
Exercise Moonlight Sonata is an all-night exercise that will see 18 (Avon) Squadron cadets utilise their training in a fun and challenging scenario taking place on the Port Hills.
